Expelled 2

So I was cruising conservapedia like I normally do looking for something of intrest that didn't just deal with Obama being a liberal, well duh, and I came across a story that liked to this:

http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090502/NEWS10/905020333/-1/NEWS

Now for those of you who don't want to take the time to read it this man Dr. Jerry Bergman is claiming that he has over 3000 documented cases of people being fired because of their denial of "drawanism." Ok so I can see the problem there if people are legitimetly being fired or whatever because they don't see the evidence the same way then I understand there is a problem there. Well it turn out, at least according to him, that it happened to him,

When Mr. Bergman was denied tenure after seven years on staff at BGSU, he
challenged the decision through the university's own system and then in civil
court alleging religious discrimination.

His appeals were rejected and Mr.
Bergman said filing suit was the biggest mistake of his life. University and
court officials did not take his claims seriously and put shockingly little
effort into reviewing or understanding his arguments, he said.

Yes that is right he was denied tenure!! Apparently he does not realize how many people are denied tenure each year. I am not in a position to say why he was denied tenure but maybe he wasn't publishing enough, maybe he wasn't bringing enough grant money in, or maybe they just didn't feel that he was going to be a good contributor to the University. Whatever the reason he was denied tenure I am sorry that sucks but if he doesn't go and sue the school maybe he has a chance with another university. But I agree if I was a university and this man was suing another school for denying him tenure I sure as heck wouldn't hire him.

So apparently this book that just came out is volume one of 5 so be on the look out for more.

The final thing I wanted to point out is this:

In a question-and-answer session after his talk, he said one way to help bring
about change is to propose a state constitutional amendment that would allow
educators to raise questions about evolution. He predicted it would be
overwhelmingly approved because free speech and scholarly debate in academia are
being stifled by just a handful of "Darwinian fundamentalists."

Yes that is right he is proposing that we have a constitutional amendment on the state levels to allow teachers to question evolution! How is that going to help if we have a bunch of uneducated kids coming into the university because their teachers told them evolution was wrong because the state made them I fail to see how that is going to keep america in the top in science, but then again he doesn't want that anyway.
